I'm not going to waste a lot of your time here, convincing you that advertising on the internet as an integral part of your Maine marketing strategy is the way to go.

You and I already know that people find information about Maine -- especially Maine vacation information -- through Maine internet advertising.

How do we know? Because you and I and everyone we know researches our vacations on the internet, too!

After all, you don't go looking for ideas for your future Moroccan vacation by looking for ads in the local Moroccan daily paper, do you? Nope. You go online.

Inside York Maine Vacations attracts several thousand new and returning visitors every month. It's hard to give an exact figure, since there hasn't been one month that hasn't seen growth from the previous month's numbers (if you would like to see the most current monthly printout of number of visitors, please email me using the Contact Me tab at the bottom of the site's left hand column and I'd be happy to send you one).

I care very much about this site and about its visitors. I don't want to turn this into a commercial-type site, plastered with ads. There's enough of those already.

Everything I do with this site is with the visitor in mind -- so before doing anything, I always ask myself "Does this help or detract from their experience?"

Which brings us to Maine marketing and Maine internet advertising to all this targeted, interested-in-Maine traffic.

On this site, I mention almost all of our area hotels, inns, campgrounds, restaurants, events and more -- will it help or hinder the visitor's experience to be able to click over to that site to find out if that's really the place they want to stay, eat or play? To be able to compare one establishment's features with another?

I don't accept all advertisers. Believe it or not, I've turned down national advertisers. I'm not fond of turning down money, it just didn't really help my site visitors find what they're looking for -- information about vacationing in southern Maine.

If your business is already mentioned on this site and you want to purchase advertising, it's a done deal. I will create a link to your site and enhance your basic listing with your text.

Advertising rates around here are pretty inexpensive for the link and enhanced listing -- $9.99 a month, payable as either a six-month duration at $59.94 or an entire year at $119.98 (remember, though, that people research their summer vacations months beforehand).
