Joshua's

Technically Joshua's is in Wells, 15-20 minutes north of York, but it's worth the drive. The restaurant is set in a centuries-old house that still retains a charming interior. Each room is cozy without feeling small, the service is excellent, and the food...perfect. Cocktails are generous and tasty, there are flowers on every table, and I don't think you'll find a dish there you wouldn't want to eat again. It's a special place but not at all pretentious. One of my favorites.
